Shared note
|
She was best friends with Stefan Alaksa's sister. Stefan and sister Vera went to Canada, then insisted Ann come too. She went in 1932. She was met by her brother, Stefan Melus, in Montreal, then went on to Flin Flon to marry Stefan Alaksa. She married Stefan shortly after. Stefan Alaksa worked with electricity at Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Company in Flin Flon. He was listed as "Machinist" on 1946 Flin Flon Voters' List. (Ann Myers and Vera Wagner visited CSSR in about 1957 with baby Anita Myers - caused a "scandal" in family with the way they acted and what they wore. They wore shawls; Anita was a picky eater!) In her funeral card, it states she had 4 grandchildren - Patti, Lori, Tom and Shelley and 2 great grandchildren - Ryan and Madison. |
