SIMPSON, William (Carl) - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Sunday, November 6, 2011, William “Carl“ Simpson of R.R. #3 Glencoe (Tait's Corners), in his 81st year. Loving husband of 56 years to Connie (nee Keating). Loving Father to the late Wayne (1981) and Father-in-law to the late Doug Dobie (1987) and to Wanda (John) Kivell, Carol (Mike) Wade, Craig, Denise (Tim) Semenuk and Derrick. He was a very proud Grandfather and will be fondly missed by his grandchildren Andrew & Preston Kivell, James (Caitlin) & Patrick Dobie, Nicolette (Neil) Johnson, Nigel, Carson & Danielle Simpson and Jacob, Sarah & Rachel Semenuk and his Great- Grandchildren Winston & Adella Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters Evelyn Gaskell & Marilyn Smith and their families. Carl will also be missed by The Keating Family and many close friends. Pre- deceased by his parents William and Kathleen Simpson. Relatives and friends will be received at the VAN HECK FUNERAL HOME, 172 Symes Street, Glencoe for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1:30pm. Rev. Barbara Clark officiating with private family interment to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or Glencoe St. Vincent de Paul Society.
