She immigrated to Canada in 1935 from Slovakia as a young teenager. As an adult she lived in Toronto working for Stedman’s Warehouse until her retirement in 1987. After retiring she relocated to London to be closer to family. She lived there until moving to Babcock Community Care Centre. She is predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Helen (Stefan) Pagac, Margaret Salkova (George), Emily Marko (Anthony), Joseph Biales (Mary), Annie Gulis (Victor) and John Biales (Doris). Survived by her nieces and nephews Frank Marko, Wally Marko, Helen Biales, Frank Biales, Annie Gulis [Anne Gallant], Darlene James, Gloria Chambers, Kimberley Feren (Fraser), one niece and two nephews in Slovakia. She is also a great aunt and great, great aunt to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by nephews and nieces, Tony Marko, Edward Gulis, Lena and Leda Gulis and 2 in Slovakia. A Family service will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, Glencoe on Tuesday, December 1 with Fr. Thomas Blondin officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthews Cemetery, Alvinston. (Attendance is restricted). |
