G. WILLIAM BAHEN 'Bill' October 3, 1925 - August 31, 2018 Born in London, UK and raised in Toronto. Bill married Ann Janes in September 1952 and shared all of his life with her until her recent passing this year. Ann and Bill shared the joy of their lives equally with each other, with their family and their many friends. He was the father of three sons, Bob, Jim (Linda), Ken (Ingrid); and happy grandfather to his five wonderful grandchildren, Julia, Sophie, Thomas, Marshall, and Geneva. He was predeceased by his younger brother, John, in 2016. Bill was a member of the Canadian Army Reserve Force, from 1940-1943, before joining the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, with pilot training at Naval Air Station Bunker Hill, Indiana and Corpus Christi, Texas. He was stationed at Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire, from 1944-1945. His business career was in real estate management and development in the USA and Canada. He was also a member of the Toronto Rotary Club, where he became the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellowship. In retirement, Bill devoted his time and energy to the Toronto East General Hospital and to the Second Mile Club. He was a resident of Belmont House, and his family express their gratitude to the staff and caregivers at 3 West for their kindness. Throughout his life, Bill was delighted to make children laugh with endless handshakes and some slightly unreliable magic tricks. There will be a private family service in Toronto to celebrate the lives of Ann and Bill.
