Emery, Mrs. June (nee Martelle)

(June 26, 1923 - August 14, 2015)

With sadness we announce the passing of our mother, June Emery, on Friday, August 14, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia at the age of 92. Wife of the late Rae Emery (1983). Friend of the late Kenneth Cumberworth (2008). Dear mother of Lois White (friend Ralph Knutt), the late Geraldine and Gerald Maher, and the late Larry Emery, Noreen and Bob Croxford, Karen and Joe Boris and Kevin and Karen Emery. Mother in law of Vicki Emery. Predeceased by her parents George and Charlotta Martelle (nee Borthwick). June had thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. June is predeceased by her siblings Bill, Margarite, Laura, George Jr., Joe, Betty, Leo, Floyd, Phyllis, Jackie, and Wesley, and survived by her siblings Marjorie, Nancy, and Alan. June is survived by her sisters in law Monica, Diane, Annetta, and Joan. She is also survived by brother in law Jack Douglas (late sister in law Arlene Douglas (nee Emery)). Predeceased by her brother in law Ted Emery. June will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Forest Agricultural Building, 45 Jefferson Street West, Forest, Ontario. Private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia or to North Lambton Lodge Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated by the family.
