BOWIE, Jean Elizabeth - A resident of Chatham, Jean Bowie died peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Friday August 31, 2012 at the age of 95. Born in Alvinston, daughter of the late Leslie & Mary Duffy. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Keith Bowie (1981). Loving mother of Joan Stobbs & her husband Bill of Chatham, and Ross Bowie & his wife Pat of Charlottetown, PEI. Cherished grandmother of Brad & Laurean Stobbs, Mark & Carrie Stobbs, Cheryl Stobbs, Kimberly & Kent Crosby, Tracey & Tony McGeohegan, and Trevor & Kelly Bowie. Great grandmother of 11, and one great great grandson. Dear sister of the late Orval, John, Lyle, and Donald Duffy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean was a long time member of the United Church congregation in Alvinston, Brights Grove, and Blenheim, as well as the U.C.W. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday September 4, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia.
