FLEISCHER, Walter Paul - of Tiverton and formerly of Sarnia and Wyoming, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Sunday, February 23, 2014, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Rev. Jeanette Fleischer (née Smith). Dear father of Paul (Sherry) of Brigden, Robert (Flory) of Sarnia, Ted of Sarnia and Dan (Dianne) of Venice, Florida, Heather Bradley (Dave Sharpe) of Thedford, Elizabeth (Warren) Higgins of South Woodslee, Faith Bradley of Collingwood and Dawn Marie Bradley (Tyler Hamilton) of Corunna. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Richard (Heather), Kelly, Katherine, Christine, Sarah, Michael (Chelsea), Tom, Ethan, Ella, Josh, Richard, Jake, Sydney, Duane (Laura), Aaron, Brendan (May), Caleb, Dylan, Kyle, Julia, Rhyann, Connor and Elizabeth and his great-grand-daughter Layla. Predeceased by his grand-daughter Karen and his brothers, Hugo, Haus, Hermann, Robert, Alfred, Erich and Franz. Walter will also be missed by many nieces & nephews. Cherished by his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Vernon (Greg) of Bewdley and Janet Johnston of Sun City, Arizona, Faye Irwin of Coburg and brother-in-law Bob (Denise) Irwin of Peterborough. Also survived by his best friend Gus Kuppers of Point Clark. Visitation will be held at the DAVEY-LINKLATER FUNERAL HOME , 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON, N2Z 1Z5, 519-396-2701, on Tuesday, February 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, February 27, at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 770 Lakeshore Road, Sarnia, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., where the celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Terry Samuel officiating. Interment, Wyoming Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Knox Presbyterian Church-Tiverton (Tower Restoration Fund) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
