WILLITS, Phil “Willie”….

Peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 16, 2013, Phil “Willie” Willits of London and formerly of West Lorne, Ontario in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Verna (Bowie) Willits for 68 years. Loving father of Phil Willits and his wife Vicki of Kincardine and Perry Willits and his wife Iryna of London. Proud Pops of Phil Willits Jr. (Brenda) and Joel Willits, Jim Willits (Tracey) and John Willits and also loved by his great-grandson Wesley. Dear brother-in-law of Florence Kerr and Teen Bowie. Phil served in the Perth Regiment during WWII. He had a passion for sports, coaching hockey and baseball. Phil worked for many years at Ontario Hydro. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (12-1pm) to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 1pm, with Reverend Dr. Anne Beattie-Stokes officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, West Lorne, on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 3pm.
