OBITUARY 1
Robert Auld Janes, a well known Warwick Township farmer and lifelong resident, died in London hospital last Monday morning, in his 69th year. He had been in failing health for several months and was removed from his home only 10 days before his death.
Robert Janes was the son of pioneer parents, Charles and Janet Janes, and was born on the family homestead lot 14, con. 3NER in May 1862. On Feb. 12, 1890, he was married to Matilda Baird, of Warwick Twp., who predeceased him in 1911.
Surviving are a family of two daughters and seven sons: Mrs. R. Hawkins, Warwick and Miss Ila E. Janes, R.N., of Toronto General Hospital; Cecil M. and George T., at home; Rayburne B. and Charles R., of Sarnia; Dr. R. Grant Janes, Marquette, Mich., Wilbur W. Janes and Dougall G. Janes, of Transcona, Manitoba.
Also surviving are 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Mrs. Frank Hillis, Toronto and Mrs. W.G. Hall, Warwick; Dr. S.M.Janes, Minneapolis and Dr. Thomas R. Janes, of San Francisco. Deceased sisters and brothers include the late Mrs. Leonard Thomas, Bad Axe, Mich., Mrs. James Giffen and Hamilton Janes of London and William Janes of Warwick. The funeral was held on Wed. afternoon, service being conducted at his late residence by Rev. Allan of Knox Presbyterian Church, and internment was in Bethel cemetery.

Janes -- in London, on Monday, Nov. 24th, 1930, Mr. Robert Auld Janes, of Warwick, in his 69th year.
A lifelong, well known and highly esteemed resident of Warwick, died in London, on Monday last after a long illness in his 69th year. He was a son of the late Charles Meredith Janes, a native of Somersetshire, Eng. who settled on the 2nd line NER in 1856, and married Janet Auld, a daughter of the late William Auld. Mr. Janes, the subject of this notice married Matilda Baird, also of Warwick, who predeceased him 19 years ago. His surviving children are 7 sons and 2 daughters, Cecil M. and George T. Janes, on the homestead; Robert B. and Chas. R. Janes, in Sarnia; Wm. W. and Dougal Janes, in Winnipeg; Dr. Grant Janes in Marquette, Mich., Mrs. R.J. Hawkins, in Warwick, and Miss Ila Janes R.N. in Toronto. Two brothers and two sisters also survive him viz., Dr. Samuel Janes, in Marquette, Mich., Thomas Janes in San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Frank Hillis, in Toronto, and Mrs. William Hall, in Warwick. The funeral was held yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon from the home to Bethel cemetery.
